The relic on this page was unearthed recently in Poland, not the Demag Sdkfz250 that is seen here doing the rounds at the War and Peace show in Kent, but the rear door of a similar vehicle (see inset). This German AFV was completely destroyed during the fighting around the town of Garwolin, Poland. Also lost during the battle was a lend lease Sherman tank, which we have featured before on the site.
